Random fact about me: shopping in an Ikea store makes me feel nauseated. There’s too much to look at, it’s too damn big, and my attention span cannot handle it. I find something in one room but it matches something I saw in another room. So I flit from room to room, back and forth and now I’m lost in this big ass maze. NOW it’s a house of horrors because I’m ready to leave and I can’t find the exit. Somewhere around here is the point where I abandon my cart and start stepping on toddlers’ toes and knocking over old ladies because I can’t breathe and I need to GET OUT. The map is useless because I’m too worked up. By the time I get out to the parking lot I’m *thisdamnclose* to full-fledged panic. Total sensory overload. I’ve tried it three times just to make sure. Alone, with a friend, and with my boys. The same thing. Every. Damn. Time. ….but their prices are hard to beat, so I just order online and pick it up at the store.
