i need them to hurry up. because grading final essays and then submitting final grades??? clicking that button is a heady feeling, with the mixed emotions of relief and joy and exhalation and newfound freedom as you consider the which backburnered project will get your attention first and then you feel that little burst of inspiration and creativity swells and overflows with production….well until the first wave of spring 2019 syllabi design anxiety hits. but in those first few minutes after you hit “submit grades”? i need that gratification right NOW.

i swear, after counting all the time spent and lessons planned and essays graded, in a tiny way i graduate every semester. it’s the little joys that keep me going.
